I miss my mama.  It’s so weird how you live life and months pass and you don’t cry, and then all of a sudden you just get hit with the memories again and it knocks the breath out of you as if it just happened all over again.

Huvafen Fushi, Maldives. This pool is set out over the Indian Ocean and blends in with the horizon.

Take me here, I want to fall in love.

When you see your parents so weak, doesn’t it make you weak too? Just seeing them not be able to do certain things, or laying in bed all day due to sickness, it’ just kills me.

Its the hardest thing in the world. Trust me i know. My mom suffered through parkinsons disease for 24 years. From the moment i was born she was sick. She was being eaten up by that disease. It was the hardest thing to watch. Later we found out she had brain tumor n she spent her last 6 months on this dunyah slowly suffering. She stopped moving. Talking. Eating. Drinking. N all u wanted to do was hold her n bring ur mom back. But i couldnt. U cant. Shes a creation of Allah subhana tala n we all have to go back to HIM one day. One thing i learned as ive grown up watching her is that its a test of Allah for your parent and you as well. The hardship of your parents could be a way of cleansing them of their sins and so they r pure when they go to their grave n may that b their way to jannah. Its a test for u so u understand this is part of our life in this dunyah n don’t lose faith. Because shaytaan plays with our minds especially when we r sooo weak. The suffering of a parent is unbearable. So constantly keep praying n making dua for them. May Allah give your parents, your family n you ease in this time of hardship. aqiilaah (i was unable to reply. It was 250 characters max. So i shared it. I hope u dont mind. Take care sister 😌 )

" Some things are only between you and Allah because the entire universe altogether can’t even come close to protecting and nurturing you like He does. "

" They say, “Oh, poor girl, you’re so beautiful you know
It’s a shame that you cover up your beauty so.”
She just smiles and graciously responds reassuringly,
“This beauty that I have is just one simple part of me.
This body that I have, no stranger has the right to see.
These long clothes, this shawl I wear, ensure my modesty.
Faith is more essential than fashion, wouldn’t you agree?”
This hijab,
This mark of piety,
Is an act of faith, a symbol,
For all the world to see.
A simple cloth, to preserve her dignity.
So lift the veil from your heart to see the heart of purity.
They tell her, “Girl, don’t you know this is the West and you are free?
You don’t need to be oppressed, ashamed of your femininity.”
She just shakes her head and she speaks so assuredly,
“See the bill-boards and the magazines that line the check-out isles,
with their phony painted faces and their air-brushed smiles?
Well their sheer clothes and low cut gowns they are really not for me.
You call it freedom, I call it anarchy. "

Only through Him He can send me you. I pray that you will be the light in my life both here in this world and the next. If you follow Allah’s rules and do everything to stay on His path - in my eyes you’ll be the shining light. If you hold on to that which applies to you and pleases Allah - you’ll…
